The biggest difference between a Mac and a Windows based PC is the operating system. For a person that has never used a computer before, the Mac OSX would most likely be easier than Windows to learn. It’s very intuitive and designed for ease of use. However, most people have used Windows for years. So, there would be a bit of a learning curve. For instance, when using the mouse opening programs does not require a double click and there is only (technically) one mouse button function.
When technology products first come out – let’s say a major revision of a product, or a brand-new computer chip, or a new technology of some kind – it’s called the “bleeding edge” for a reason.
Insider Tip: Often the speed difference between a 2.2 Gaz and a 2.4Ghz chip are not even noticeable! Yet you may pay a hundred or more dollars for what is called a “faster” chip. Be wary of tiny jumps in speed and huge jumps in price.
And because the Netbook is small, the keyboards are smaller, which can make them more difficult to use. Some vendors have found ways to arrange their keyboards to allow for larger keys that make the keyboard a bit easier to use.
Secondly, game freezing can also happen if your computer hardware does not meet the requirements of the game such as video and sound cards. Always install the required sound and video cards that meets the requirements.
There’s a difference between the HP / Microsoft Slate and the Apple iPad, though. Apple’s iPad is basically a big iPhone that can’t make phone calls, while the Slate is a small Windows PC that doesn’t have its own keyboard. That’s a lot bigger of a difference than you’d think.
